Bavaria Sponsor Story:

At that time the subjects of commercial relations were novel; In the case of Colombia, it would be in 1991 the year that, taking advantage of the fury of what happened in the 1990 World Cup in Italy, the airline and the Federation joined forces to be the official means of transport, while at the brewery's facilities the combined concentrations would be carried out.

The clothing would be seen for the first time in the United States, during a friendly game held in May 1993; to continue like this with four other friendly games, all of them held in less than a month and prior to the Copa América in Ecuador. After this fact, FIFA issued a statement announcing an economic sanction, in addition to the threat of disaffiliation.

This fact, which only remained as a punishment in the economic sphere, remained as a precedent for unusual decisions in the history of soccer and the marketing related to this sport.
