Humberto Rafael Bravo ( Añatuya , Santiago del Estero , Argentina ; February 2 , 1951 ) is a former Argentine footballer who worked as a forward. He stood out mainly in workshops . He ended his career in 1987 playing for Deportivo Maipú . 2 The afternoon of the 19 of maypole of 1978 , a month before the World Cup that was held in Argentina coach Cesar Luis Menotti decided to leave out three players in order to complete the list of 22 players who were going to be in the Cup of the World , which then the National Team would win for the first time in its history. One of those affected was Humberto Bravo, one of Talleres' main scorers in the championship and among the best scorers in the country. The other two who were left out of Menotti's list were Diego Maradona and Víctor Bottaniz  He arrived at Talleres in 1974. He had two terms at the club; From 1974 to 1978 and from 1979 to 1981, he is a very important player in the history of the Barrio Jardín club , he played a total of 144 official matches (237 matches adding those of the regional league) and scored a total of 68 official goals in AFA (140 goals if we count the regional league). He achieved 13 local titles with the institution. He is the second historical goalscorer for the club behind Miguel “Wanora” Romero. It is the player who scored the most goals in one game of the Cordovan classic , after making him four goals Belgrano in Alberdi , the 25 of maypole in 1976 by the first date of the Clausura 1976. 8 The 18 of January of 1978 in the field of Newell's Old Boys of Rosario ; Bravo makes one of the most important goals in the club's history; The decisive goal is scored for the Matador to go to the final of the 1977 Nacional . 9 It was shouted by about 15,000 Talleres fans who had traveled to Rosario to watch the game; that finally finished 1 to 0 in favor of the Cordovan. 10 ( See original audiovisual material of the club ) During his time at Talleres he was summoned by the Argentine National Team , with which he played some friendly matches.
