Fernando Adrián Guillermo started in the lower teams of Boca Juniors and made his debut in the first team of the same club on November 1, 1998 in the 3-0 victory against Club Estudiantes de La Plata for the 1998 Apertura Tournament , a match in which he entered missing 3 'in replacement of Guillermo Barros Schelotto . During this tournament, in which Boca Juniors would become champion, he played seven games. In 1999 he was summoned to contest the South American U-20 Championship in Mar del Plata , in which he suffered a rupture of the external lateral ligament in his right knee, an injury that kept him standing for a year. At the beginning of 2000 he was loaned to the Club Deportivo Badajoz of the First Division of Spain . Then he returned to Boca but Carlos Bianchi and Julio Santella let him know that he would not be taken into account. In mid-2001 he was loaned to Club Atlético Estudiantes (where his father had already played in the 1970s). In May 2002 he made his debut at the Jorge Wilstermann Club of the Bolivian First Division . In August of the same year he returned to Estudiantes de Caseros. After being released in mid-2003, he joined the Club Atlético San Telmo of the Primera B, where he played 27 games and scored 5 goals in the 2003/2004 season. In 2004 he played in El Porvernir , of the Primera B Nacional and in 2005 he was loaned to Huracanes de Colima of the Primera División A de México .
