The casino floor: who may enter, when, and what is there
This page describes the casino as a part of the building you will walk past. It does not rate games, explain how to bet or point to offers — that is not what this logbook is for.
Who may enter
You must be 18 or over to enter the casino; the hotel's general information states that minors are prohibited from the gambling area. The dress code is casual, neat and clean at all times, with the full standard posted at the entrance. Leaving children unattended anywhere in the complex is prohibited, and the hotel warns that people who do so may be excluded and may be prosecuted.

What is on the floor
The hotel lists table games and electronic gaming machines, a keno desk on each level and a TAB in the Sports Arena, which takes up the whole second level. There is an invitation-only room and a high-stakes table area on the ground floor. Four ATMs stand in the foyer in front of Guest Services. Gaming staff do not accept tips. The venue does not publish the number of tables or machines, and we do not repeat third-party counts.
Two bars — Flinders Bar & Grill and Lihou Bar — sit inside the gaming area, which is why both are 18+. If you are travelling with teenagers, eat at Soy Kitchen, Merchant Cafe or Tamarind instead.
Staying in control
The hotel says it supports safer gambling and points guests to the Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858. Its safer-gambling page offers an assistance program brochure, an informed-decision brochure and its harm-minimisation policy. In Queensland you can also exclude yourself from gaming venues: the state's patron-initiated exclusion lasts five years, and Gambling Help Queensland can arrange exclusion from several venues at once. Our responsible gambling page sets out the options.
This logbook writes about a physical venue only, for people deciding where to sleep. It links to no gambling service of any kind.
If you want nothing to do with it
Two published details help: Merchant Cafe sits on the walkway between the hotel lobby and the casino, and Soy Kitchen has its own street entrance on Abbott Street. The hotel does not publish a floor plan beyond its casino map, so if you would rather keep well away from the gaming floor, say so in your request and the desk will ask the hotel how its lifts and entrances connect to your room.
